REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY
JOB DESCRIPTION: Licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic and 3rd or 4th year Apprentices - Mining or Construction Experience
Currently looking for a Licensed Heavy-Duty Mechanic and 3rd or 4th year apprentices to fill a Camp Position to join our growing team. Rotational work of 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off. MUST be able to start immediately. Pay is based on experience.
Potential candidates must have familiarity with mining class equipment.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Safe, efficient, effective operation, and regular maintenance of handled equipment
· Compliant with company and customer safety requirements
· Able to work independently as well as within a team
· Able to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical faults using schematics
· Perform brake and safety inspections
· Able to diagnose and repair power train, electrical systems, HVAC system, air ride, suspensions, drum and disk brakes, wheels and hubs, differentials, air valves, hydraulic steering system
· Complete required documentation on repairs made and parts used.
· Other duties as directed by the manager
Qualifications:
· Self-motivating
- Caterpillar equipment experience is required
· Competent in reading and interpreting schematics
· Minimum 3 years experience
· Poses a Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician Red Seal Certification
